This community led and operated event is steered by a professional volunteer committee. Members include a corporate CEO, events organiser, marketer, sales manager, art gallery owner, film director, management consultant, successful entrepreneur, professional artist and a former Chief of Staff to the Victorian Minister of the Arts. Lorne Sculpture is professionally managed but with minimum administrative costs.
A professional curator is contracted to develop and curate the exhibition over a two-year period. The Committee has announced the appointment of Lara Nicholls as the new Curator for the 2018 event.

50,000+ visitors viewed the Lorne Sculpture exhibition in October 2014. This is expected to rise to 70,000+ in March 2016.
