Performance Two Sunday 13 March at the Ballroom, Mantra Hotel from 7 pm (sunset)
The second performance begins at 7 pm (sunset) on Sunday March 13 in the Ballroom of the Mantra Hotel, on the Hotel’s grounds between Mountjoy Parade and the Lorne seafront. It’s titled piano (a reading in seven parts) and consists of a monologue describing a series of imaginary conversations taking place between six characters: D. H. Lawrence and his wife Frieda; Rudyard Kipling and his fiancée Carrie Balestier and Mark Twain and his daughter Susey Clemens. These conversations focus on various aspects of the inexplicable presence (separated by over thirty years) of D. H. and Frieda Lawrence, Mark Twain and Rudyard Kipling in Lorne.
