Special guests: LSB2022 artist Deb Halpern, Murray Walding, Spinning Wheels' Don Hirst and LSB2018 curator Lara Nicholls open a conversation 'pit' around this iconic venue of 1950s-era Lorne. Facilitated by former LSB president Peter Lamell.
Opened by the Smith Brothers, the Arab Cafe and Wild Colonial Club were iconic and defining venues in the landscape of post-war Lorne. Pulled straight out of Europe, Lorne (and even Australia) had never seen anything like it.
A combination of Smith family stories and research, this conversation is open to those who may have attended either venue. Come along and share your memories!
