For many years I worked in the shadows of teaching art while exhibiting and producing work and pursuing further art study in printing and lost wax casting. Assemblages inspired by ideas and a collection of objects found in the Northern Territory where I had a short stint working with Indigenous women led me to develop assemblage as a favorite practice for making sculpture. Though this practice is not yet an overwhelming audience pleaser, I am still using found materials to make pieces where their use can reshape their meanings.
