Sculpture Plus

The Sculpture Plus program features a wide array of events inspired by the theme of Spirit of Place, the 16 precincts and sculpture.

The event program includes musical and theatrical performances to enthral and delight, projections, interesting conversations and workshops for young and old alike.

WildHoney - Genius Loci

Sunday, 13 March 2022 - 6.30pm - gather adjacent to the trampolines before we follow The Keeper to Erskine Paddock

In Roman mythology, Genius Loci is the ancient practice of the worship of the spirits of place that reside in the natural landscape.

Follow The Keeper – a benevolent and mysterious giant neither human nor animal - along the foreshore where a fire effigy awaits awakening. Place your wish in the hands of The Keeper who, upon lighting the Effigy, will make an offering of these wishes to the spirits in an act of transformation that will release the Chimera, a hybrid creature of Otway animals: tiger snake, bat, and wedge-tail eagle. Gather around the cleansing flames and come together in a celebration of the spirits that still occupy the natural beauty of the Otways: its forests, waterfalls, and the ocean.
